A few things to know about books, voices, privacy, and using Rise across your devices.
What is Rise?
Rise is a native reading app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It brings EPUB and PDF reading, local EPUB narration, and supported on-device questions into one quiet experience.
Which books can I import?
Rise supports unencrypted, reflowable EPUB 2/3 books and PDFs. DRM-protected purchases cannot be imported. Narration is designed for EPUB text; PDF reading is available separately.
Does narration need an internet connection?
You need an internet connection to download a voice first. Installed English voices generate speech locally. On-device questions also require supported Apple Intelligence hardware and available system models.
Can I write a book in Rise?
Rise is a reader, not a manuscript editor. Writers can export a draft from their writing software as an EPUB and use Rise to read or listen back to it.
How much does Rise cost?
Rise includes a bundled starter book and one personal import for free. Unlock the Full Library for €9.99 once to import more books. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with no subscription. The App Store displays your regional price.
Which devices does Rise support?
Rise runs natively on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Use iCloud to keep your books and reading position together across your Apple devices.
Make room for a good book.
A chapter. A question. A new idea. Let Rise help you spend a little more time with the words that matter.
